The main goal of SEGVAUTO 4.0 is joint development of research, innovation, training of researchers and technology transfer activities in the field of intelligent, efficient, clean, accessible and safe transport systems, through the development of activities in three disciplines: Intelligent Transport Systems, Sustainable and Efficient Transportation and Vehicle Safety; along with a more transversal feature that is its integrative vision, which aims to improve the quality of life of society, without anyone being left out of the next advances in mobility.

Role of AUTOPIA
  • Autonomous driving: communications, cooperative services and integration with the Infrastructure.
    • Deployment and testing of cooperative services corridors.
    • Application of V2X communications to autonomous driving.

    CSIC will participate in both tasks adapting its automated vehicles to the services deployed in special environments (tunnels) and modifying the level of assistance (SAE L2L4) to the context provided via V2X by the cooperative systems defined.

  • Autonomous driving: sensory fusion and interpretation of the environment.
    • Interpretation modules of the road environment.

    CSIC will contribute in generating probabilistic local dynamic maps and accelerating their computation using GPGPUs.

  • Autonomous driving: intelligent location, navigation and intention prediction systems.
    • Cognitive-inspired navigation with auto-switching systems between automation levels.

    CSIC will design, implement and validate cognitive-inspired navigation strategies for different levels of automation both in simulation and in one of its automated vehicles .
